Responsibilities

As a DevOps Engineer & Consultant at 58agents, you will work on exciting client projects – mostly embedded in agile teams on-site or remotely. You will support the sustainable establishment of modern DevOps practices and architectures and contribute your know-how throughout the entire software lifecycle.

Your tasks include, among others:

• Implementation and optimization of modern operating architectures (e.g., Kubernetes, cloud-native stacks)
• Automation of build, test, and deployment processes
• Development and enhancement of monitoring, logging, and security solutions (DevSecOps)
• Technical adjustments to software to improve non-functional properties
• Collaboration with client teams for requirements alignment and solution finding

Special Feature:

You will be actively involved in project acquisition – both in placing you in consulting mandates and in acquiring entire projects.

This means specifically:

• You will participate in the preparation of your profile (CV tuning, project history, skill matching)
• You will participate in screening calls and interviews with clients, convincing them with your technical and personal competence
• When acquiring project responsibility (e.g., MVPs, digital products), you will contribute to technical concepts, effort estimations, and proposals
• You will contribute your own ideas and experience in presales phases, tenders, or pitches

This way, you actively contribute to us not only filling projects but also shaping them successfully.

Requirements

What you should bring:

• Completed degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable technical qualification
• At least 3 years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer or Software Developer in agile teams
• Practical experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines, ideally with tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, or Jenkins
• Very good knowledge of working with containers (Docker) and container orchestration with Kubernetes
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure)
• Knowledge of shell scripting and at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, Go, or similar)
• Understanding of clean code, testing strategies, infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible), and modern deployment strategies (Blue/Green, Canary, etc.)
• Independent, structured way of working in complex environments
• Strong communication skills – you can explain technical content in an audience-appropriate manner

Nice to have:

• Certifications in the cloud or DevOps environment (e.g., AWS, GCP, CKA, HashiCorp)
• Experience with full-stack development (e.g., with TypeScript, React, Node.js)
• Knowledge in software architecture, system design, or IT security
• Interest in participating in presales phases, tenders, or internal innovation projects

Also important:

• You have already worked as an external consultant or consciously want to grow into this role
• You have the "consultant gene": you present yourself professionally, think customer-orientedly, act with self-responsibility, and enjoy advancing projects together with the client
• You are willing to work on-site with the client if necessary to build trust and achieve real impact

3. Video Call: Presentation and discussion of your talk and software solution approx. 45 - 60 minutes
4. Video Call: Final Interview approx. 30 minutes
