Referent*in (d/w/m) Schutz & Teilhabe (Fachkraft - Schutz und Sicherheit)
About Us
International Rescue Committee (IRC) is an international aid organization founded in 1933 at the suggestion of Albert Einstein. Since then, IRC has been supporting people affected by political crises, war, persecution, or natural disasters. IRC Germany was founded in 2016 and is active nationwide in the fields of education, career & orientation, as well as protection, legal advice, and participation.
In the area of Protection & Participation, IRC DE implements the project "Families Shape the Future," which strengthens families with refugee and migration experience in their integration into Germany. The core of the project consists of regular parent groups that offer a safe space to discuss questions on topics such as parenting, stress, and orientation in everyday life. Participants gain access to important information and expand their social networks. This empowers parents to create a stable and supportive environment for their children and to utilize their own opportunities for social participation. Furthermore, the project promotes encounters between families from different backgrounds. It reduces barriers to support services and improves understanding between parents and pedagogical professionals in schools and daycare centers. Professionals are also made more aware of the life realities and needs of families with refugee and migration experience.
