An innovative and fast-growing space technology company is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex satellite mission programmes for international governmental and commercial customers.

You will take ownership of mission execution from contract award through to final delivery, acting as the central coordination point between engineering, operations, commercial teams, and customers.
The role is ideally suited to someone who thrives in technically complex, international environments and enjoys balancing customer engagement with programme execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex satellite mission programmes
- Manage programme scope, schedule, cost, risk, and resource planning
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout programme execution
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, product, operations, and commercial functions
- Ensure delivery milestones, contractual obligations, and performance targets are achieved
- Identify and mitigate programme risks, dependencies, and escalation points
- Drive governance, reporting structures, and stakeholder communication processes
- Support the development of scalable programme management standards and delivery best practices
- Act as the primary customer interface during programme execution
Required Experience
- 5-10 years of programme or project management experience within complex technology-driven industries
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary and multi-stakeholder programmes
- Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management capabilities
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical teams
- Experience managing programme planning, governance, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences
- Fluent German language skills (native or near-native level)
- Eligibility to obtain security clearance
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
Desirable Experience
- Space, satellite, Earth Observation, SAR, or remote sensing programme experience
- Defence or governmental customer exposure
- Experience within aerospace, telecoms, embedded systems, or advanced engineering environments
- Product development or mission delivery experience
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent programme management certification
- Master's degree in a relevant field

Location & Travel
This position can be based in Munich or Berlin, Germany, with hybrid working available.
Regular international travel to customer locations and European offices will be required.
