We offer you a perspective in one of the most future-proof industries. We are characterized by open work structures, a "du" culture, and flat hierarchies with an incomparable team spirit. We firmly believe that work and fun are compatible and offer you the appropriate environment for this. With constant growth, we are always looking for new colleagues. Become part of IONOS and let us grow together.\n\nWe are a leading provider in the hosting industry with 4,000 employees. In our highly dynamic and scalable business environment, personnel costs are far more than just a line in the P&L - they are our most important strategic investment. We are looking for an analytical expert who not only delivers numbers but also acts as the architect of our HR finances. In this central role, you will bridge the gap between payroll, HR management, and group accounting.\n\n### Your Mission\n\nYou will take full financial responsibility for our largest cost block. Your task is to maximize planning security, refine month-end closing, and identify deviations early through intelligent analyses. You will report directly to the Head of Group Controlling/HR.\n\n### Responsibilities\n\n* Planning & Control: You will be responsible for monthly personnel cost planning, forecasting, and the annual budget for the entire group (top-down & bottom-up).\n* Financial Closing (HGB/IFRS): You will manage the HR-relevant parts of the month-end and year-end closing. This includes the independent calculation and booking of provisions (vacation, bonuses, royalties, anniversaries) in close coordination with accounting.\n* Interface Management: You will validate the transfer of payroll accounting into financial accounting, proactively resolve discrepancies, and ensure data integrity.\n* Variance Analysis: You will analyze planned vs. actual deviations (e.g., price-volume mix effects, headcount development vs. FTE) and derive recommendations for management.\n* Innovation & Automation: You will examine the use of new technologies (e.g., AI-supported anomaly detection, RPA) for automating standard reports and drive the further development of our BI dashboards (Power BI/Tableau).\n\n### Qualifications\n\n* Education: Successfully completed studies in business administration (focus on controlling, finance, or accounting) or a comparable qualification.\n* Experience: At least 2-3 years of professional experience in controlling - ideally with a focus on HR controlling or other controlling functions in a corporate environment.\n* Financial Expertise: You are proficient in accounting for personnel expenses and provisions according to HGB and IFRS.\n* Digital Mindset: You not only use Excel (Power Query/Pivot) but are also actively interested in automation and AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Gemini for analysis) to make your processes more efficient.\n* Tool Stack: Confident use of SAP (FI/CO/HCM) or comparable ERP systems, as well as experience with BI tools, is explicitly desired.\n* Personality: You combine analytical sharpness with communication skills and can explain complex financial relationships understandably to non-financial experts (e.g., HR Business Partners).\n\n### Why Us?\n\n* Impact: You will directly shape the management of our personnel expenses in a growing tech corporation.\n* Compensation: An attractive salary package that matches your expertise (market level L4-Expert), including a bonus component.\n* Flexibility: Modern, hybrid work model and flexible working hours.\n* Development: Access to the latest tools and technologies, as well as a budget for professional development.\n\nLanguages: Strong German and English skills.\n\n## Benefits\n\n* Hybrid work model with home office option.\n* Flexible working hours through trust-based working time.\n* Subsidized canteen and various free drinks at some locations.\n* Modern office spaces with very good transport links.\n* Various employee discounts for activities and products.\n* Employee events such as summer and winter parties, as well as workshops.\n* Numerous further training and development opportunities.\n* Various health offers, such as sports and health courses.
