Senior Professional System Engineer (w/m/d) – Backend Technology
Requirements
Must have:
- University degree or comparable qualification (preferred fields: Computer Science, Business Informatics)
- Several years of relevant professional experience
- Profound knowledge in the development and/or operation of software solutions and infrastructures in the DWH/BI environment, especially DBMS Oracle 19 and higher.
- Profound knowledge in troubleshooting software solutions and/or infrastructures, especially techniques in the context of agile software development such as pair programming, code review, etc.
- Profound knowledge of programming languages and/or in the adaptation of software solutions and infrastructures, especially SQL programming using the Oracle ODI tool
- Knowledge/experience with Apache KAFKA and scheduling and automation tools are desirable
Responsibilities:
- Planning, administration, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructures, including performing second-level support.
- Analysis of system requirements and performance data for the performance of the created software solutions.
- Development, updating, and monitoring of software as well as updating and monitoring of hardware: Database programming in Oracle environments using the ETL tool ODI.
- Performing effort estimations for the technical implementation of business requirements and the subsequent implementation according to the specifications of business analysts.
- Performing data analyses with SQL.
- Identification and resolution of system problems, especially troubleshooting in regular program runs.
- Ensuring system availability and security during the transfer of created solutions into productive operation.
