Specialist System Engineer – Security (w/m/d)

Requirements

Must have:

• University degree or comparable qualification
• Several years of relevant professional experience or comparable profile
• In-depth knowledge in the development and/or operation of software solutions and infrastructures
• Sound knowledge in troubleshooting software solutions and/or infrastructures
• Sound knowledge of programming languages and/or in the adaptation of software solutions and infrastructures
• Several years of professional experience in the SOC environment
• In-depth knowledge of security platforms such as SIEM or EDR platforms
• In-depth knowledge of log analysis (e.g., Windows, Linux, network, cloud)
• In-depth knowledge of attacker tactics and techniques (MITRE ATT&CK)
• Basic knowledge of automation or SOAR
• Basic knowledge of digital forensics
• Structured, analytical approach to work and a high sense of responsibility
• Understanding of APT tactics, Red Teaming, or Penetration Testing is desirable

Responsibilities:

• Planning, management, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructures
• Analysis of system requirements and performance data
• Development, updating, and monitoring of software, as well as updating and monitoring of hardware
• Identification and resolution of system problems
• Ensuring system availability and security
• Analysis, evaluation, and processing of complex security incidents (2nd/3rd level)
• Provision of security platforms (e.g., SIEM, EDR)
• Further development of detection use cases
• Analysis of attack patterns and derivation of sustainable improvement measures
• Participation in playbooks, runbooks, and emergency concepts
• Proactive threat hunting based on TTPs (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK), threat intelligence
• Planning, management, and maintenance of IT systems and system components of the IT security infrastructure
• Ensuring system availability and security
• Evaluation and design of new security solutions
