Grid Connection Engineer (High Voltage) -- Germany | Remote

A fast-growing international renewable energy developer is seeking an experienced Grid Connection Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale energy infrastructure projects in Germany.

The company has recently secured its first major Battery Energy Storage (BESS) project in Germany and is currently tendering for additional large-scale projects. As a result, they are expanding their grid engineering capability to support the growing pipeline.

This role will focus on managing grid connection activities for high-voltage projects and acting as the technical interface with network operators throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate grid connection processes for high-voltage energy projects
  • Act as the main technical interface with TSOs, DSOs and grid operators in Germany
  • Support grid applications, technical documentation and connection agreements
  • Review and coordinate power system studies including load flow, short circuit and stability analysis
  • Ensure compliance with German grid codes and connection requirements
  • Work closely with internal engineering and project teams during development and project delivery

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering
  • 5+ years' experience in grid connection, power systems, or high-voltage infrastructure projects
  • Experience working with German transmission or distribution network operators
  • Strong understanding of grid connection procedures in Germany
  • German language skills at C1 level (mandatory)
  • Fluent English (mandatory)

  • Salary: Up to €100,000
