We support our customers in making buildings more climate-friendly, more comfortable and more affordable with connected real estate, simple products and high processing and service quality. We provide our customers with efficient, tailored processes and applications for operating IoT infrastructures in real estate, as well as our flexible Enterprise-IoT-Suite, in which we manage data from many millions of sensors into intelligent products and services.

Your mission

You will join our architects team - three people in total, integrating the architecture across different parts of the group. Together we plan and drive the interoperability and migration of systems toward beyonnex, and we shape the technical direction the engineering teams build on.

Together we:

• Act as the bridge between product requirements and the technical capabilities of our systems - surfacing trade-offs, unblocking decisions, keeping product and engineering aligned.
• Facilitate the creation of technical concepts together with the engineering teams - and propose them ourselves when that is the fastest path forward, always open to feedback and discussion.
• Contribute to our technical strategy and architectural vision, making sure today's decisions do not paint us into a corner tomorrow.
• Stay hands-on when it matters - pairing with engineers on hard problems, prototyping, and reviewing critical designs.
• Partner with our dedicated AI, infrastructure and other capability teams as active stakeholders - shaping what they build and helping put it to use across the company, ourselves included.

What we need from you

We are searching for a motivated candidate with the following qualifications:

• Relevant educational background (e.g. computer science, information systems, engineering) or equivalent experience.
• Several years of hands-on software engineering experience, with a track record of working across multiple teams and domains.
• Strong technical depth in distributed, event-driven systems on AWS - and a good sense of when to centralize and when to federate.
• Strong soft skills: persuasion, stakeholder management, and facilitation. You can hold the room without owning it, and you align people rather than dictate to them.
• Comfortable staying hands-on when needed - you can still write the code and read the diff.
• Fluent communication skills in both English and German (C1 or better).
