About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer (m/f/d) for an unlimited, full-time position at our Berlin location, with hybrid working conditions available. You will be an integral part of one of our product teams, primarily focusing on frontend development with some backend responsibilities.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Serve as a role model and mentor, promoting best practices, conducting code reviews, and ensuring high code quality.
  • Provide technical guidance and act as a counterpart to the Product Owner, translating strategic requirements into actionable technical and business solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, and deliver robust, maintainable, and well-structured software, applications, APIs, and workflows.
  • Actively participate in regular Scrum ceremonies within an agile, cross-functional team.
  • Analyze, discuss, and implement business requirements, maintaining clear documentation for systems and components.
  • Adopt, apply, and provide feedback on organizational and industry best practices to strengthen our engineering culture.

What Will Help You Succeed

  • University degree or equivalent qualification in IT.
  • 7+ years of relevant software engineering experience, including senior or lead engineer roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Angular (2+), TypeScript, and JavaScript for frontend development.
  • Basic experience with Java (Spring Boot) and/or C# / .NET, including Windows API.
  • Proven experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based applications.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with microservices and distributed architectures (a plus).
  • Experience with relational databases, preferably Oracle or SQL Server (PL/SQL).
  • Knowledge of cloud development, ideally with Azure.
  • Hands-on experience as an Agile Senior/Lead Engineer, supporting and guiding a development team.
  • Strong communication skills in English; German is a plus.

About Our Technologies

Our platform is a customer-driven solution for dunning and collection journeys, built with Angular and TypeScript. It connects clients and customers with open cases via a flexible REST API to multiple international backend systems.

The frontend system is cloud-native, targeting Azure, using Terraform for infrastructure, and deploying services to Kubernetes. It's a microservices ecosystem with event-based integration and RESTful API principles. Single-page applications are delivered via CDN using TypeScript and Angular, with automated tests at each layer. Figma is used for design collaboration.

Backend systems utilize C# (.NET, Windows API) or Java (Spring Boot) and are deployed as on-premise solutions.
