Stellenbeschreibung

About this job

For a medium-sized company with a total of around 50 employees, 2 further locations in Northern Germany, and international business relationships (e.g., in Denmark, Malaysia, Dubai, South Korea), a Microsoft Dynamics NAV end-customer headquartered in Hamburg, which has been operating in the global heavy-load, project, and logistics business for shipping for over 15 years, I am looking for an MS Dynamics 365 Business Central Inhouse Consultant (m/f/d) as soon as possible for the further expansion of the ERP team in permanent employment.

Currently, Microsoft Dynamics NAV is in use in the current cloud version of BC in all important company areas, such as accounting and operational business. In addition, a BC master data management system is implemented, and Continia Document Capture is used. Since all business processes run through the ERP system, most employees are connected to the application as active users (around 40 BC licenses). You will cooperate with 2 colleagues to support the BC/Applications area, who are currently keeping the system running. You do not have to develop yourself, as ERP customizations are generally handled by an external service provider. If you have ambitions and skills in independent development or customizing, options in this area can be discussed. In principle, the reporting line goes to the Head of IT, who in turn reports directly to the management. With suitability and potential, a junior NAV consultant with initial professional experience could also be considered for the team. For someone in IT who can think deeply, there are numerous opportunities to contribute well and creatively with ideas, thus accompanying and driving major projects up close.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support in the implementation of ERP projects in all phases - from the workshop through implementation to the get-well phase
  • General further development, optimization, maintenance, and upkeep of the BC application
  • Support of interfaces and further features
  • Coordination of individual requirements and changes with the specialist departments and joint implementation in the team
  • Realization of process analyses, automation, and optimizations for the ERP system
  • Creation of documentation for users
  • Problem evaluation and solution in the ERP system, including test scenario creation
  • Ensuring support for NAV users in difficult and problematic matters as a global contact person
  • 2nd and 3rd level support

What you should bring:

  • Education or degree in IT or professional experience in the ERP environment
  • Good experience in NAV consulting, preferably from NAV 2018 and newer BC versions
  • Ideally, know-how in the logistics and accounting modules
  • Prior experience in NAV-relevant development languages is only "nice-to-have"
  • Good understanding of business processes and a knack for solving problems
  • Fluent English skills (company language, the Head of IT does not speak German, for example, as he is Danish), German is an advantage (for exchange with specialist departments)
  • Service-oriented, dynamic, and communicative personality who enjoys guiding users in IT and working in a team

In this successful company, you have the opportunity to take on a diverse and captivating field of activity in a company with a very pleasant working atmosphere in a knowledgeable and lively team (company culture is Danish-influenced, as the founder and parts of the management are Danish) that cultivates a "du" culture and a familiar, relaxed, and open exchange. There is an excellent work-life balance due to rare to non-existent travel (2 branches in Northern Germany), the possibility of home office, and a 40-hour week with trust-based working hours (core hours for a full-time position are from 09:00 to 16:00, start and end times are variable) with 30 vacation days per year. In principle, the well-located office offers good public transport connections (stop within walking distance) and free parking spaces for cars on site. For you as an employee, there is continuous investment in further training and development opportunities, and you will also be introduced to your topics and tasks. Company pension plans and company events such as Christmas or summer parties, a subsidy for the Deutschlandticket, a gym (nearby with its own personal trainer), or personal insurance in the form of company disability insurance are also offered. Furthermore, an attractive salary of approximately €50,000-€75,000 gross per year awaits you, depending on professional experience and qualifications.

This job offer sounds interesting but doesn't quite meet your expectations? Get in touch with us anyway: We constantly have various open vacancies, both with end customers with little travel and with Microsoft Partners working with constantly new technologies; some of them before they are even published, and we maintain close contact with the decision-makers at our clients. Surely there is something for you too!

Please ask for Katherine Lippert at the phone number +49 228 286 59 406 if you think you are up to this demanding task. You are also welcome to send me your CV by email, stating your notice period and salary expectations for the position, and contact me with questions at k.lippert@karesources.
