About this job
For my client, an established, internationally active medium-sized development company, I am looking for experienced support in the field of PCB design and electronics development. The company is a respected engineering service provider for highly reliable embedded electronics and software solutions, working in future-proof industries such as medical technology, e-mobility, industrial automation, railway technology, and safety technology.
Sr. Hardware Electronics Developer / PCB Layout Designer (m/f/d)
Permanent position
Salary: up to €85,000 depending on experience
Location: Munich
Ref. 28101
Your Responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of sophisticated PCB layouts (up to 20 layers)
- Participation in electronics projects from specification to series production readiness
- Selection and application of suitable design and simulation tools
- Optimization of EMC, signal integrity, impedance matching, crosstalk, and thermal behavior
- Close collaboration with mechanical design
- Support with design-for-manufacturing, testability, and data transfer to manufacturing partners
- Commissioning and testing of functional modules (especially digital circuits)
- Creation of documentation (specifications, reports, test protocols)
Your Profile:
- At least 5 years of experience in PCB layout and/or electronics development
- Very good knowledge of at least one common tool (e.g., Siemens/Mentor Xpedition, PADS, Altium Designer, KiCAD)
- Sound understanding of electronic circuit development
- Experience with complex layout requirements and modern design methods
- Ability to work in international, distributed development teams
- Good communication skills
- Fluent English or German language skills
Desirable Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge in analog circuit technology, FPGA integration, or power electronics
- Experience with special technologies (e.g., flexible PCBs, high-current design, non-FR4 materials)
- Experience with PCB simulation tools (e.g., SPICE)
- Familiarity with standards such as IEC 60601 or ISO 26262 is an advantage
