The role is responsible for managing all commercial and operational aspects -- including strategy, pricing, retail media, content, and profitability -- with the objective of driving sustainable growth and ensuring brand excellence on Amazon. This position plays a key role in accelerating Kao Salon's digital transformation by combining analytical performance management, deep brand understanding, and flawless execution.\n\nThis is a permanent, full-time role based in Darmstadt (hybrid working model).\n\n## What you will do:\n\n### Amazon Business Ownership\n\n* Full P&L responsibility for Kao Salon's Amazon 1P business across DACH, CZ, and CEE.\n* Develop and execute a growth strategy that drives both sales and profitability.\n* Manage annual joint business planning, pricing, and commercial negotiations.\n* Oversee forecasting, demand-planning, inventory-health & OOS risk to ensure sustainable Amazon operations.\n\n### Performance & Profitability Management\n\n* Track and analyze key metrics (Net Sales, Margin, ACOS, TACOS, CTR, CR, and stock health).\n* Identify performance gaps and define corrective actions using Vendor Central and internal BI dashboards.\n* Lead monthly business reviews and performance deep dives for management and key stakeholders.\n* Benchmark against category and competitor performance to guide investment and innovation priorities.\n\n### Retail Media & Advertising\n\n* Plan and execute Amazon Advertising (AMS, DSP) campaigns in partnership with Media & Analytics teams.\n* Continuously optimize ad efficiency and ROI through data-driven bidding, targeting, and creative testing.\n* Evaluate deal mechanics (Deals, Coupons, Subscribe & Save) to boost conversion and visibility.\n\n### Content & Conversion Excellence\n\n* Ensure best-in-class PDPs, A content, and brand store experience across all brands.\n* Lead the keyword and SEO strategy to improve organic ranking and discoverability.\n* Manage ratings & reviews strategy, including review generation and sentiment tracking.\n\n### Cross-Functional Collaboration\n\n* Partner closely with Brand Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Global E-Commerce teams to align execution and reporting.\n* Support brand activations on Amazon in line with brand campaigns and product launches.\n* Share insights, benchmarks, and best practices across regions to drive e-commerce excellence.\n\n## What you will need:\n\n* Minimum 3--5 years of hands-on experience with Amazon Vendor Central, ideally in beauty, FMCG or premium consumer goods\n* Strong understanding of Amazon's ecosystem, algorithms, and commercial levers.\n* Proven track record in P&L management, retail media optimization, and content strategy.\n* Analytical, data-driven mindset with high attention to detail and executional excellence.\n* Experience in managing digital or media agencies is a plus.\n* Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.\n* Entrepreneurial, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment\n* Fluent in English and German\n\n## How we work:\n\nHaving been selected among the World´s Most Ethical Companies for 19 consecutive years, Kao is a company with a purpose and strong corporate values.
