As part of online marketing, we in the online editorial team advise potential customers in different product categories with our texts, inform retailers about innovations on the online marketplace, or formulate appealing texts for our social media channels. The texts are subsequently translated in-house by our translators.

Tasks

Your tasks - What awaits you in detail

• You translate short to long texts for the German online marketplace for the Italian market, aimed at business partners and possibly customers.
• You proofread already translated Italian texts, independently create a translation memory, and set up a glossary.
• You maintain the terminology database, thereby enabling high-quality and consistent translation work.
• As a member of the editorial team, you work closely not only with the editors but also with other translators and other departments of the company to ensure a translation that does justice to our product.
• You adapt the existing wording to the specifics of the Italian language.
• You are knowledgeable about the Italian market and help us to align our product even better with the customer group.

Profile

Your profile - What we expect from you

• You speak both Italian (native language) and German (C1-C2 level) fluently and can easily translate between the two languages.
• You already have professional experience in translating and writing texts for the Italian market and have a degree in a humanities subject, ideally in foreign languages or translation.
• You have initial experience with CAT software (ideally Trados).
• You ideally have initial experience in the areas of terminology management and terminology systems.
• You are not afraid to get in touch with other departments and work together on an ideal translation.
• You count precise working methods and the correct prioritization of tasks among your strengths.
• Customer satisfaction is your top priority.
