About the Opportunity
One of our leading AI research clients is seeking highly analytical Physics experts to contribute to advanced large language model (LLM) evaluation and training initiatives.
In this role, you will design and solve complex Physics problems that test the reasoning limits of modern AI systems. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving model accuracy, abstraction, and multi-step reasoning across undergraduate to graduate-level Physics topics.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates who enjoy breaking down sophisticated concepts into structured, logically sound explanations.
What You'll Do
- Design challenging Physics problems spanning early undergraduate to PhD-level topics
- Create clear, step-by-step solutions with well-articulated reasoning
- Identify areas where AI systems struggle (e.g., symbolic manipulation, abstraction, multi-step derivations)
- Collaborate with AI researchers to develop new evaluation benchmarks
- Provide detailed annotations and constructive feedback on AI-generated responses
- Help shape rigorous testing standards grounded in real Physics curricula
Ideal Background
- Master's, PhD, or Postdoctoral background in:
- Physics
- Applied Physics
- Engineering Physics
- Related quantitative discipline
- Strong command of topics typically covered in competitive engineering entrance exams and graduate programs
- Ability to analyze and solve complex problems using structured reasoning
- Clear written communication skills in English
- Comfortable working independently in a remote setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or holding a Master's, PhD, or Postdoctoral position in Physics or a related field
- Experience teaching, tutoring, or creating advanced problem sets
- Strong ability to simplify complex Physics concepts without sacrificing rigor
