About the Position

The Technical Service Workplace Team in KION Group IT supports our organization in all software-related matters important for service technicians in their daily work. This includes source systems with important information such as spare parts and special tool data, truck diagnostics, and service management - as well as special applications and tools that increase technician productivity.

We develop applications and components in the web and cloud areas, work in customized agile frameworks, and adhere to high quality standards and corporate values. In our projects, we work collaboratively and on an equal footing - regardless of the role. In retrospectives, we continuously improve our collaboration and development methods together.

Your Tasks

• Development of features in complex web applications and cloud-native components
• Implementation of tests, bug fixing, and performance analysis
• Use of modern software patterns and development paradigms
• Refinement and effort estimation of user stories in coordination with product owners
• Documentation of software components according to current standards
• Support our architects in building reliable and robust systems in line with KION standards
• Analysis and troubleshooting in complex productive system environments
• Operational support of the managed applications and services

Your Profile

• Completed degree or comparable training, e.g., Fachinformatiker Anwendungsentwicklung (IT specialist for application development)
• Open and strong communication skills
• Team-oriented and open to working in a diverse, distributed team
• Languages: English (fluent for team communication), German is an advantage

First knowledge and experience with:

• Java 17
• Spring Framework / Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Web, Spring Cloud
• Relational databases (SQL: Oracle, MSSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
• GitHub for version control

Desirable (Nice to Have):

• Frontend knowledge in Angular
• Experience with MS Azure (technologies, components, CLI, security, scaling)
• Knowledge of microservices, Kubernetes/Helm, Docker, Terraform
• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), Message Queues (Kafka, Azure Event Hub)
