What You'll Do & Who You Are
As a Junior Engagement Marketing Manager in the Customer Engagement team, you will execute and optimize lifecycle communications to help millions of users buy and sell successfully. Your focus will be on hands-on lifecycle execution within Braze, ensuring campaigns, journeys, and always-on programs are implemented with precision, quality, and speed. You will translate lifecycle strategy into scalable, high-performing customer experiences by building Canvas flows, performing QA, and iterating on performance.
Collaborating with lifecycle strategists, product managers, analysts, and marketing stakeholders, you will ensure users receive relevant, timely, and trustworthy communication throughout their journey. Within the Customer Engagement team, you will participate in agile rituals, contribute to experimentation, and continuously improve the design, build, and measurement of lifecycle programs. Your work will directly impact user activation, retention, and reactivation, unlocking value from existing users at scale.
This is a hybrid role, combining remote work with regular office presence in Berlin-Charlottenburg.
What You Will Do
- Execute and build lifecycle campaigns and automated journeys in Braze (Canvas, segmentation, content blocks).
- Ensure high-quality QA of campaigns, including logic checks, personalization accuracy, and performance validation.
- Support the execution of activation, retention, and reactivation programs across PRO, RE, and Mobility.
- Translate lifecycle concepts and briefs into structured, scalable journey setups.
- Collaborate with analysts to monitor campaign performance and support iteration cycles.
- Identify optimization opportunities within existing journeys and suggest improvements based on data.
- Maintain clear documentation of flows, naming conventions, and enablement materials to ensure governance and scalability.
- Contribute to A/B testing execution and support hypothesis validation.
- Partner closely with senior engagement marketing managers, product teams, and analytics to ensure smooth handoff from strategy to execution.
Who You Are
- First experience in CRM, customer engagement, or digital marketing, preferably in an e-commerce or online marketplace, is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and HTML is a plus.
- Excellent project management skills, with familiarity in agile working environments.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships.
- Ambitious yet unpretentious with a "can-do attitude".
- Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.
