System Engineer Unix (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

  • In your role, you will take responsibility for a stable, secure, and modern Unix system environment.
  • You will administer our Unix systems and ensure a secure infrastructure environment through regular software upgrades and professional patch management.
  • In day-to-day operations, you will independently analyze and resolve disruptions.
  • You will implement and monitor security measures to reliably protect our systems and actively contribute to meeting compliance requirements.
  • You will automate recurring tasks with your scripts, improve internal processes, and thereby achieve real efficiency gains.

Profile

  • You have a completed degree in computer science or a comparable qualification and possess sound Unix know-how.
  • You are familiar with the configuration and operation of Apache and Tomcat web servers and have experience with network management tools such as Checkmk or Icinga, as well as automated software distribution.
  • You are familiar with using Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
  • You are prepared to support our cloud infrastructures (AWS, Kubernetes) in the medium term.
  • New technologies excite you, and you enjoy contributing modern solutions.
  • You have native-level German skills and conversational English.
