Job Description

As a Project Manager in our Port Solutions division, you will be part of a global team driving innovation and excellence in the port industry. In this role, you will use your project management skills in a state-of-the-art technical environment to drive change, develop solutions, and help shape the future of the port industry. You take responsibility for successfully managing projects within a given budget, framework, and schedule, and you play a decisive role in customer satisfaction by acting as the main point of contact for our customers throughout project execution.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Building a project team: You help build the core project team and ensure that the team achieves the objectives and commitments within the sub-projects (engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, automation, shipping, commissioning, and on-site work).
  • Budgeting: You prepare the project budget, monitor it continuously, and keep the forecast results up to date.
  • Monitor project performance: You monitor project performance, especially with regard to key risks related to time, cost, and quality.
  • Managing changes: You evaluate and approve changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or schedule. You keep track of the current project profit estimate and proactively manage project risks.
  • Troubleshooting: You work on all project topics, clarify differences of opinion, and help resolve conflicts with customers or within sub-projects. If necessary, you escalate unresolved issues.
  • Project communication: You provide regular updates on the project plan to the Port Solutions PMO and communicate relevant changes to customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

What You Should Bring?

  • Technical expertise: Project management experience with a solid understanding of automation, electrical systems and mechanics. Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) are advantageous.
  • Project management experience: Proven success in planning, executing and successfully equipment delivering projects within scope, schedule and budget.
  • Customer Orientation: Ability to understand customer needs and adapt to different industries to make informed decisions.
  • Leadership skills: Experience in building and leading cross-functional project teams and effectively managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Mindset: Positive and solution-oriented attitude to work, willingness to work and enjoyment of handling complex matters with confidence.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent spoken and written English is required, additional language skills are an advantage.

Travel time: Travel needs depend on project requirements and customer locations, but typically range from a few days to about one week per month.
