About Lake System / Lake Lab
We're building Lake System / Lake Lab, a Germany + Portugal setup focused on co-op PC games. Our model is simple: develop concepts fast, validate demand early with our publishing partners, and put real production behind the winners.
The Opportunity
This is an EQUITY-ONLY LEADERSHIP ROLE for founding-level individuals who want to build something ambitious from the ground up. This is not a standard, salary-first hire at this stage.
CTO / Lead Developer / Producer
Location: Berlin, Germany | Remote, Berlin-based strongly preferred
You will lead the programming side of our active projects and assist with applications for German / European grants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering leadership (Unity)
- Team management
- Production execution
- Building an internal AI stack (scraping data from Steam and TikTok)
- Grant / fund applications
Experience with German or EU funding for games is a significant advantage.
Who You Are:
- A senior builder with strong Unity experience.
- Possess founder energy and desire ownership, not just employment.
- Capable of leading teams and making decisions amidst uncertainty.
- Excited by games, systems, speed, and long-term upside potential.
