Responsibilities

• Lead the IT Infrastructure and Schools division.
• Ensure and coordinate the tasks of the IT Service Desk (IT Support) in the area of IT infrastructure and district schools.
• Optimize IT infrastructure regarding performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Participate in the further development of goals and standards for the division/office.
• Plan and operate server, datacenter, and network infrastructure (LAN / WLAN / WAN).
• Plan and operate the telecommunications system and data centers.
• Initiate and carry out projects, or participate in them.
• Further develop customer and service-oriented change and process management.
• Develop and plan budget funds and budget appropriations.
• Create technical documentation and concepts.

Requirements

Must have:

• Good IT knowledge and extensive experience in the IT field.
• Completed (University of Applied Sciences) degree with a focus on computer science or equivalent skills and experience due to several years of management and professional activities in the IT sector.
• Experience in coordinating external service providers.
• Several years of experience in leading teams and good communication skills.
• Knowledge in the areas of IT law, IT compliance, data protection, and information security.
• Experience in project management and conceptual work.
• Analytical thinking skills and a structured, independent way of working.
• Initiative, resilience, and assertiveness.
• Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken.
• Sound knowledge and practical experience in:
  • Server infrastructure (Microsoft Windows Server and Linux).
  • Virtualization technologies and hypervisors (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, and Proxmox).
  • Network infrastructure (LAN / WLAN / WAN) and firewall systems.
  • Storage systems and datacenter management.
  • Cybersecurity and data protection.
  • Telecommunication systems and VoIP.
  • Data center operations and wide area networks (WAN).
  • Directory services (Active Directory).
