About the Role

The Reutlingen district, situated near Stuttgart, is a region of diverse economic and natural landscapes, forming part of the first Biosphere Reserve in Baden-Württemberg. At the District Office, we are dedicated to serving people, nature, the economy, and culture, always with a holistic perspective.

We are seeking a qualified and responsible individual with organizational foresight for our District School and Culture Office. If you're looking for meaningful work and flexible hours, we have an opportunity for you as a:

School Finance Administrator (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Administrative financial management for seven vocational schools, the special educational support and counseling center, and the district media centers.
  • Creating booking documents and controlling/analyzing individual budgets.
  • Monitoring budgets and procurement processes at the schools.
  • Processing damage reports to the insurance company.
  • Procuring furniture and sports equipment for the schools.
  • Invoicing and managing dunning processes for meal and school fees.
  • Reviewing and processing applications for adult education.

Your Profile:

  • Completed training as an administrative, legal, notary, tax, or judicial assistant, or further training as a public administration specialist (AG I), or a comparable qualification.
  • Quick comprehension, with a reliable, accurate, and independent work style.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Collegiality, cooperation skills, and reliability.
  • A high degree of commitment.
  • Familiarity with numbers, municipal budgets, and related legal frameworks is advantageous.
  • Very good experience with SAP, MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint is advantageous.
