Shopify Apps (Plugins)

Extensions for Shopify are called Shopify Apps. These are plugins used to expand the system with new features. We develop these in the backend with Ruby on Rails and in the frontend with React. This includes both our own Shopify apps, as well as plugins for other software providers and merchants.

Deine Aufgaben / Your Responsibilities

• Architektur und Entwicklung anspruchsvoller Backend-Lösungen für unsere Shopify-Projekte
• Design, Implementierung und Wartung von REST- und GraphQL-APIs
• Entwicklung maßgeschneiderter Shopify-Apps mit Ruby on Rails
• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Frontend-Entwicklern, UI/UX-Designern und Kunden zur Umsetzung komplexer Anforderungen
• Integration von Drittanbieterdiensten (Payment-Gateways, Suchmaschinen, CRM, PIM, ERP-Systeme)
• Gewährleistung von Anwendungssicherheit, Leistungsoptimierung und Skalierbarkeit
• Implementierung automatisierter Tests und kontinuierlicher Integration
• Teilnahme an Code-Reviews und Einhaltung hoher Codequalitätsstandards
• Architect and develop sophisticated backend solutions for our Shopify projects
• Design, implement, and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs
• Develop custom Shopify Apps using Ruby on Rails
• Work closely with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, and clients to implement complex requirements
• Integrate third-party services (payment gateways, search engines, CRM, PIM, ERP systems)
• Ensure application security, performance optimization, and scalability
• Implement automated testing and continuous integration
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards

Dein Profil

Must-have

• Senior-Level-Erfahrung mit Ruby on Rails oder ähnlichen Frameworks (Laravel, Phoenix)
• Fundierte Kenntnisse im REST-API-Design und -Implementierung
• Erfahrung mit Datenbankdesign und Abfrageoptimierung
• Solides Verständnis von Software-Design-Patterns und -Prinzipien
• Expertise in Versionskontrollsystemen (Git)
• Erfahrung mit automatisierten Tests (Unit, Integration, E2E)
• Fließend in Deutsch oder Englisch (Wort und Schrift)
• Wohnsitz innerhalb der EU (Bitte beachte, dass wir keine Arbeitsvisa sponsern können)
• Full-Stack-Fähigkeiten mit Frontend-Technologien (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Senior-level experience with Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks (Laravel, Phoenix)
• Strong knowledge of REST API design and implementation
• Experience with database design and query optimization
• Solid understanding of software design patterns and principles
• Expertise in version control systems (Git)
• Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, E2E)
• Fluent in German or English (spoken and written)
• Residence within the EU (NOTE: we cannot sponsor work visas)
• Full stack capabilities with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

Nice-to-have
