Role Description

Lifely is an AI-powered, neuroscience-based health-tech US startup that helps chronic patients through structured peer mentoring.

This project grew from years of working at the intersection of mental health, digital therapeutics, and behavior science, where I saw one clear truth: patients trust other patients more than anyone else.

Lifely transforms that trust into a structured, scalable system of peer mentoring, assisted by AI, neuroscience, and behavioral design.

Current Stage & Strategy

• Market Validation Complete: Successful fake-door tests and user interviews have already proved strong product interest.
• Backend is Ready: The core logic, API infrastructure, and data layers are built.
• UI is Mostly Ready: The interface designs and initial implementations are in place.
• The Immediate Goal: We need to launch the MVP to gather real-world healthcare and business data.
• The Roadmap: This data will be the key driver to close our fundraising round. Fundraising begins immediately after we secure these metrics.

The Role: Lead Full Stack Developer (Frontend Focus)

We are looking for an Equity Holder to partner with us. You aren't starting from scratch; you are the "finisher" who will take a validated, mostly-built product across the finish line.

Your Primary Focus (Frontend & Integration)

• Use your Next.js / TypeScript expertise to take the existing UI from "mostly ready" to "ship-ready."
• Polish user interactions to ensure a high-quality, responsive, sensitive patient experience.
• Integrate the frontend with our existing real-time audio/video systems (websocket WebRTC, LiveKit) and AI agents (websockets).

Your Secondary Focus (Architecture Review)

• Double-check and validate the existing architecture before we scale.
• Review the FastAPI / Python backend to ensure it aligns perfectly with your frontend implementation.
• Ensure the Clean Architecture principles are maintained for future scalability.
• AI agents coding optimization.

Language Requirement

• English B2 (Minimum): Effective communication is key for our collaboration and documentation.

Tech Stack Overview

• Frontend: Next.js, TypeScript.
• Backend: FastAPI (Python).
• Database: PostgreSQL 15, Redis 7.
• Infra: Docker, Redis pub/sub, RabbitMQ (Kafka planned), Self-hosted LiveKit.
• AI/Ops: Vertex AI, Livekit Agents SDK.
