Mechanical Systems Engineer (m/w/d)

Your Responsibilities

Concept Development & Design

• Planning and design of electrical components and purchased parts (including heating elements)
• Development of new connection and wiring concepts for our high-temperature technology

Demonstration Plant Engineering

• Contribution to the engineering of our demonstration plant
• Preparation of technical documentation

PLC Programming

• Development of programming specifications and PLC programming (including visualization) for pilot and demonstration plants
• Coordination of external programmers

Pilot Plant Operation & Modifications

• Implementation of electrical modifications to our pilot plant, including coordination of external contractors
• Procurement of electrical components, measurement and laboratory equipment
• Support during experimental campaigns

Your Profile

• Completed technical education (Bachelor's, Master's, Dipl.-Ing., or Technician) in electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a comparable field, combined with several years of professional experience.
• Experience in the design and construction of control cabinets, field wiring, and electrical heating equipment; strong process understanding, including non-electrical systems.
• Solid knowledge of industrial control system programming (ideally Beckhoff, Structured Text) and visualization.
• Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations (in particular the Machinery Directive); ideally experience with brownfield projects and the development of first-of-a-kind solutions.
• Hands-on mentality, willingness to travel and work on construction sites, Class B driving license; good German and good English language skills.
