Strategic Leadership & Sourcing Governance

  • Develop and implement a forward‑looking sourcing, procurement, and supplier management strategy.
  • Establish and maintain a robust Outsourcing & Third‑Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework.
  • Oversee the bank's outsourcing register and ensure fully regulatory reporting.
  • Drive cost optimisation, value creation, and supply chain resilience.

Supplier Lifecycle & Performance Management

  • Lead the full supplier lifecycle: selection, onboarding, due diligence, contracting, monitoring, performance review, renewal, and termination.
  • Ensure full alignment with internal policies and regulatory expectations.
  • Define and maintain SLAs, KPIs, and qualitative/quantitative performance metrics
  • Conduct structured risk assessments (e.g. concentration, dependency, geopolitical risks)

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all outsourcing arrangements comply with:
    • EBA Outsourcing Guidelines
    • DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act)
    • GDPR & data protection obligations
    • Local supervisory authority requirements
  • Oversee the execution of due diligence and risk assessments.
  • Ensure exit strategies and business continuity plans for critical suppliers.
  • Maintain thorough documentation for audits, compliance reviews, and regulators.

Contracting, Commercial Management & Negotiation

  • Lead negotiations for complex, high‑value, and critical contracts.
  • Ensure contractual provisions meet all regulatory standards (audit rights, access rights, subcontracting, data residency).
  • Drive commercial excellence, cost transparency, and value realisation across the supplier base.

Cross‑Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the central contact point for IT, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and other business areas.
  • Provide senior‑level reporting to Executive Management, Risk Committees, and, where required, the Board.
  • Support strategic change programs, transformation initiatives, and regulatory remediation activities.
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing Sourcing & Supplier Management team.

Your knowledge/experience

Technical & Regulatory Expertise

  • Deep understanding of EU and national outsourcing regulations (EBA and DORA).
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, strategic sourcing methodologies, and supplier relationship management.
  • Expertise in risk management frameworks, operational resilience, and third‑party oversight.
  • Solid understanding of IT, cloud, and technology supply chains, including material cloud outsourcing.
  • Experience in leading organisational change and maturing TPRM/sourcing frameworks.

Leadership & Commercial Skills

  • Proven senior-level experience managing large outsourcing portfolios in regulated financial institutions.
  • Strong negotiation skills with proven ability to drive commercial value and mitigate risk. Excellent communicator able to collaborate across business lines and influence senior stakeholders.
