Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for the Head of Machine Learning. The individual will lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning models to support Loretta's AI platform. Core responsibilities include:
- Supervising a team of data scientists and engineers
- Enhancing predictive algorithms
- Implementing Natural Language Processing (NLP) methods
- Collaborating cross-functionally to align the ML strategy with the organization's goals
The candidate will also work on improving model performance and tackling challenges in causal AI, pattern recognition, and data science to deliver impactful healthcare solutions.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Machine Learning and its real-world applications in healthcare or insurance
- Strong background in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Pattern Recognition
- Comprehensive understanding of Data Science and Computer Science fundamentals
- Experience in managing and mentoring teams, driving collaborative initiatives, and fostering innovation
- Ability to interpret complex datasets and implement actionable insights using advanced analytical tools
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar; experience with cloud-based AI platforms is a plus
- Familiarity with legal and ethical standards in data usage, including GDPR and other regulatory requirements
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field
