In this role, you are responsible at PAYBACK for data-driven projects in Germany, Poland, Italy, and Austria. On the one hand, you develop cloud data products on GCP and take care of existing on-premise systems (Oracle Exadata); on the other hand, as a team lead you are responsible for leading the Data Engineering team, including project coordination and ensuring the achievement of objectives.

Ihre Aufgaben
- You design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes on GCP
- You take on the functional and disciplinary leadership of the Data Engineering team and actively support the targeted development of team members
- You optimize the efficiency and performance of data processing using modern tools and techniques
- You collaborate with Data Scientists and Analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- You are responsible for ensuring compliance with data quality standards and best practices
- You implement data governance policies and procedures to protect sensitive data
- You are involved in driving and supporting the migration of existing on-premise data products to the cloud (GCP)
TECH STACK
- Python, Oracle PL/SQL, Airflow, and Git
- Terraform, OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, Java, and Kafka
- Google Cloud Services (BigQuery, Cloud Build, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, Dataflow)
Ihr Profil
- You have several years of solid professional experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role and already possess leadership experience
- You have very strong technical skills in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
- You have excellent communication skills and are able to convey complex topics in a clear and understandable way
- Strong analytical skills, a structured way of working, and a proactive approach to solving complex problems set you apart
- You are able to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team
- You have a passion for data-driven innovation and are committed to delivering high-quality results
