We are retained by a fast-growing, well-funded B2B SaaS scale-up, headquartered in Berlin. With a strong foothold in DACH and following a recent funding round, they are expanding into key Western European markets.
About the Role
As VP Marketing, you will own the entire marketing function with a focus on growth marketing and lead generation strategy, driving scalable demand and revenue growth. You will lead a small and high-performing team, collaborate closely with sales, and report directly to the CEO. This is a hands-on, strategic role for a data-driven marketer who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
Growth Marketing & Lead Generation
- Develop and execute a scalable demand generation strategy to drive high-quality leads and pipeline growth.
- Own the full funnel: from awareness to conversion, leveraging digital marketing, content, SEO, paid media, and account-based marketing (ABM).
- Optimize lead nurturing, scoring, and handoff to sales for maximum conversion.
Brand & Positioning
- Refine and amplify our brand messaging, value proposition, and go-to-market strategy for mid-market and enterprise segments.
- Lead content marketing (thought leadership, case studies, webinars) to establish authority and drive engagement.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Build and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Partner with sales, product, and customer success to align on goals and execute integrated campaigns.
Expansion & Scaling
- Spearhead marketing efforts for new market entries in Western Europe, adapting strategies to local needs.
- Leverage data and analytics to measure performance, iterate quickly, and scale what works.
Qualifications
- 10 years in B2B SaaS marketing, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in demand generation, lead nurturing, and revenue growth for mid-market/enterprise clients.
- Experience working for a VC-backed and fast-growing company, scaling marketing operations in Germany/Switzerland and expanding into new markets.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in marketing tech stack (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics).
- Fluent in German and English
