Einleitung
As an Infrastructure Operations Manager (m/f/x), you are the technical hub for the stability and further development of our internal Nitrado infrastructure. In this role, you will take over the technical management of our operational topics. You do not have disciplinary personnel responsibility, but you do take on a clear technical lead role. You coordinate the cooperation between teams, drive technical topics forward, and ensure that operational requirements are taken into account in the roadmaps.
With your strong technical foundation and hands-on mentality, you ensure that operations, maintenance, and incident processes function smoothly across our entire on-prem stack---from network and hardware to VM and Kubernetes platforms, all the way to the central services our developer teams need every day.
Your Mission
Coordinating Maintenances & Changes
You plan maintenance windows and ensure that all participating teams are well-prepared. You coordinate execution, keep an eye on risks and dependencies, and ensure a clean conclusion including traceable documentation.
Incident Management
You take over coordination for critical or major incidents. You bring the right stakeholders together, maintain a clean flow of information, and ensure rapid restoration. Afterward, you drive structured post-processing, including the tracking of measures.
Problem Management
You ensure that recurring disruptions are not just handled in the short term but are resolved sustainably. To this end, you ensure clear responsibilities, prioritization, and follow-up.
Risk & Lifecycle Management
You keep an eye on the stability of our entire stack, from patching and upgrades to technical debt and EOL (End of Life) topics. You identify dependencies and operational risks early, make them transparent, and thus create the basis for prioritization and planning in the roadmaps.
Establishing Operational Standards
You further develop our standards and processes in operations so that they are scalable, traceable, and reproducible. This includes, for example, runbooks, checklists, escalation paths, and procedures for maintenance and incidents.
Technical Steering & Roadmaps
You work closely with other infrastructure teams and ensure that topics such as stability, capacity, and lifecycle are considered in the roadmaps. You keep operational requirements present and drive topics through to implementation.
Technical Sparring Partner (Hands-on)
You stay close to the technology, provide pragmatic support for complex analyses, and understand our stack in detail. You are the bridge between operational reality and technical planning without getting lost in the day-to-day business of tickets.
Your Profile
You have several years of experience in the field of Infrastructure Operations or in a platform environment, ideally in an on-prem or hybrid environment.
You have demonstrable experience in incident management, change and maintenance coordination, and sustainable problem management.
You are technically proficient enough to communicate, advise, and prioritize at eye level across multiple layers---for example, in the areas of network, hardware, platforms, and central services.
You work in a structured and goal-oriented manner, can bring about decisions, and reliably bring complex topics with many participants to a conclusion.
You communicate clearly, objectively, and calmly---especially in critical incident situations.
You have a high technical standard and want to shape things content-wise. In this role, your focus is on the 'what' and 'how' of our infrastructure, not on disciplinary leadership. You provide technical direction, help shape roadmaps, and guide teams safely through complex operational topics.

Deine Aufgaben
Wartungen & Changes koordinieren
Du planst Wartungsfenster und stellst sicher, dass alle beteiligten Teams gut vorbereitet sind. Du koordinierst die Durchführung, behältst Risiken und Abhängigkeiten im Blick und sorgst für einen sauberen Abschluss inklusive nachvollziehbarer Dokumentation.
Incident Management
Bei kritischen oder größeren Incidents übernimmst du die Koordination. Du bringst die richtigen Stakeholder zusammen, hältst den Informationsfluss sauber und sorgst für eine schnelle Wiederherstellung. Danach treibst du die strukturierte Aufarbeitung inklusive Maßnahmenverfolgung voran.
Problem Management
Du stellst sicher, dass wiederkehrende Störungen nicht nur kurzfristig behandelt, sondern nachhaltig gelöst werden. Dafür sorgst du für klare Verantwortlichkeiten, Priorisierung und Nachverfolgung.
Risk & Lifecycle Management
Du behältst die Stabilität unseres gesamten Stacks im Blick, von Patching und Upgrades bis hin zu technischen Schulden und EOL Themen. Du identifizierst Abhängigkeiten und Betriebsrisiken frühzeitig, machst sie transparent und schaffst damit die Grundlage für Priorisierung und Planung in den Roadmaps.
Etablierung von Betriebsstandards
Du entwickelst unsere Standards und Prozesse im Betrieb weiter, damit sie skalierbar, nachvollziehbar und reproduzierbar sind. Dazu gehören zum Beispiel; Runbooks, Checklisten, Eskalationswege und Abläufe für Wartungen und Incidents.
Fachliche Steuerung & Roadmaps
Du arbeitest eng mit den anderen Infrastrukturteams zusammen und sorgst dafür, dass Themen wie Stabilität, Kapazität und Lifecycle in den Roadmaps berücksichtigt werden. Du hältst operative Anforderungen präsent und bringst Themen bis zur Umsetzung.
Technischer Sparringspartner (Hands-on)
Du bleibst nah an der Technik, unterstützt pragmatisch bei komplexen Analysen und verstehst unseren Stack im Detail. Du bist die Brücke zwischen operativer Realität und technischer Planung, ohne selbst im Tagesgeschäft der Tickets unterzugehen.
Dein Profil
Du bringst mehrere Jahre Erfahrung im Bereich Infrastructure Operations oder im Platform-Umfeld mit, idealerweise in einer On-Prem oder Hybrid-Umgebung.
Du hast nachweisbare Erfahrung im Incident Management, in der Change und Maintenance Koordination sowie im nachhaltigen Problem Management.
Du bist technisch so fit, dass du über mehrere Layer hinweg auf Augenhöhe mitreden, beraten und priorisieren kannst, zum Beispiel in den Bereichen Netzwerk, Hardware, Plattformen und zentrale Services.
Du arbeitest strukturiert und zielorientiert, kannst Entscheidungen herbeiführen und komplexe Themen mit vielen Beteiligten zuverlässig zum Abschluss bringen.
Du kommunizierst klar, sachlich und ruhig - besonders in kritischen Incident Situationen.
Du hast einen hohen fachlichen Anspruch und willst Dinge inhaltlich gestalten. In dieser Rolle liegt dein Fokus auf dem Was und Wie unserer Infrastruktur, nicht auf disziplinarischer Führung. Du gibst fachlich Orientierung, prägst Roadmaps mit und führst Teams sicher durch komplexe operative Themen.
