Tasks
We (RD/EDC2 - Drivability Transmission TEV) are passionate about developing modern, attractive powertrains for the next generation of Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG vehicles. This includes the development of high-performance software components for the control and regulation of innovative powertrain concepts in order to create an excellent customer experience together with our partners. In particular, the development of networked drive systems consisting of combustion engines and 48V ISG (P1) systems is the focus here.
These challenges await you, among others:
- Functional development and drivability application of electronic transmission control units in sporty automatic transmissions and hybrid applications
- Planning and execution of measurement series as well as working out solution approaches in the vehicle
- Support of development databases
- Documentation of work and measurement results and preparation of decision proposals
- Coordination of vehicle modifications and updating of control unit software, vehicle maintenance
- Support of internal and external interfaces (development, suppliers, production)
- Support of tools based on Python, Matlab/Simulink
The activity can begin in May 2026.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in Mechanical Engineering, Technical Cybernetics, or Business and Engineering, or a comparable course of study
- Confident German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Confident handling of MS Office
- Prior knowledge of the software products MATLAB/Simulink and ® dSPACE TargetLink® as well as the programming languages C and Python is desirable
- Good knowledge in the field of measurement and control technology
- Very good ability to grasp complex technical contexts
- Commitment and teamwork skills
