Ihre Aufgaben:

The Data Center Solutions Business Unit at Microchip designs enterprise-class storage solutions for leading enterprises and data centers worldwide. Our products leverage modern technologies such as RAID, Security, PCIe, NVMe, SAS, SATA, SDRAM, and NAND.

The Senior Verification Developer plays a central role within the Verification Team of the Applications Engineering Group. In this position, you are responsible for validating our Java-based, multi-platform desktop applications and act as a key interface between verification and development. The objective of this role is to ensure the functionality, quality, and reliability of our customer-facing software tools through systematic test design, execution, and analysis.

Reporting directly to the Manager Engineering Services, the Senior Verification Developer contributes significantly to maintaining high quality standards across the entire software lifecycle and plays a key role in strengthening our commitment to delivering robust, enterprise-grade solutions to customers worldwide.

  • Strategic and operational validation of Java-based, multi-platform desktop applications
  • Analyzing software requirements and translating them into structured test concepts and verification strategies
  • Designing, developing, and implementing automated and manual test cases and test modules using C#, Java, or Python
  • Maintaining and continuously improving existing test cases and test frameworks
  • Executing test cases, documenting results, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage
  • Analyzing test runs, identifying defects, and reporting violations using established bug-tracking processes (e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA)
  • Closely supporting the Development Team throughout the software lifecycle, from requirements analysis to release
  • Collaborating within a matrix organization and working closely with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Utilizing modern verification and DevOps tools such as Visual Studio with MS Test, Azure DevOps, and JIRA
  • Direct reporting line to the Manager Engineering Services.

Ihr Profil:

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Fluent English, German is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, team orientated, analytical, open minded und problem solving oriented
  • 5-8 years' experience with Desktop Java development
  • Integration/usage of hardware stack (PCIe, CXL, SATA) APIs
