Stellenbeschreibung

Mohr Siebeck is an independent academic publisher based in Tübingen, specializing in legal and humanities publications in print and digital formats for an international audience.

If books and science are also "your thing" and you are looking for a position outside of university or away from traditional (legal) career paths, you are in the right place.

Apply today, as we are looking for an editor (m/f/d) in part-time (50%) for our legal editorial department as soon as possible:

Your Role with Us:

  • You will independently manage selected series and publication projects from manuscript offer to publication and develop new project ideas.
  • You will review manuscripts and take on administrative tasks for your projects, such as project setup, offer preparation, and contract drafting.
  • You will work closely with all departments along the publishing value chain, including production, marketing, and sales.
  • You will support program managers in daily business (general correspondence, research, etc.) and actively participate in overarching publishing projects.
  • You will represent the publishing house at selected professional conferences at home and abroad.

What You Bring:

  • You have at least the First State Examination in Law or a comparable degree in the humanities.
  • You have your own scientific work experience, experience in publishing, or as an (qualified) academic assistant, preferably in public international and European law.
  • You communicate confidently in spoken and written German with individuals from various university sectors.
  • You organize your work independently, maintain an overview even with complex tasks, and work in a structured and disciplined manner.

What We Offer:

  • A permanent position with standard social and attractive additional benefits, flexible working hours, and the possibility to work up to 50% of your working time from home.
  • Genuine team spirit in the Legal Editorial department with currently six colleagues.
  • A trusting corporate culture with flat hierarchies and "open doors."

We look forward to receiving your application in digital form, addressed to Daniela Taudt-Wahl, LL.M. Eur., Program Management Fundamentals, Public Law, at taudt@mohrsiebeck.com.
