Your Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the stable operation and further development of APIs, Kubernetes environments (K8s), and associated tools.
• You will perform installations, updates, and patchings of APIs, K8s, and tools – including rollouts into new regions.
• You will continuously monitor the infrastructure (Health Monitoring) and take care of capacity management.
• You will process service requests and ensure the smooth operation of the platform.
• You will actively work in Slack workflows and ensure structured communication in operations.
• You will prioritize, manage, track, and resolve incidents according to defined processes and support troubleshooting and the rapid resolution of disruptions.
• You will proactively inform customers about incidents and handle escalations – also in cooperation with external vendors.
• You will specifically escalate technical topics to advanced internal support and development teams and support the sustainable restoration and stabilization of services.
• You will process and document Problem Records (PRs) and conduct Root Cause Analyses – if necessary, together with internal teams or external partners.
• You will create and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and operational playbooks, and create Jira tickets or Git issues for development teams when defects are identified.
• You will continuously work on improving operational processes and updating documentation.

Your Profile

• You are ready for the security check Ü2 (SÜ2) and have fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
• You have a completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
• You have several years of experience in IT operations, DevOps, or Platform Operations and very good knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s) and container technologies.
• You have experience in operating and maintaining APIs and distributed systems, as well as knowledge of cloud infrastructures (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, or SAP Cloud Platform).
• You have experience with Incident, Problem, and Service Management (e.g., ITIL) and are proficient in using monitoring tools, ticket systems (e.g., Jira), and version control (Git).
• You have experience collaborating with internal support and development teams as well as external vendors and work in a structured and solution-oriented manner.
• You demonstrate a high degree of responsibility and resilience in incident situations and have very good communication skills in German and English.
• You are a team player and enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams, showing a proactive mindset and a continuous improvement drive.
