Job Posting: Marketing & Office Assistant (m/f/d) Part-Time – Homeoffice | Greater Lüneburg Area
Start Date: Immediately (or by arrangement)
Employment Type: Part-time: Approx. 20 hours/week (approx. 4 hours/day) Compensation: Approx. €1,560 gross/month (equivalent to approx. €18/hour) Work Location: Currently 100% Homeoffice, with occasional appointments in Lüneburg
About Us: We are a small, owner-managed company based in Lüneburg, specializing in online marketing, e-commerce, and marketing-related IT solutions for regional businesses. We develop and support user-friendly communication solutions, software tools, and apps for business operations. Our current focus is on supporting a group of retail businesses operating under a well-known national brand, managing all aspects of their online marketing.
We are seeking a reliable, digitally-savvy assistant in part-time to support these client-focused tasks and internal operations. We value long-term commitment and invest heavily in training and know-how.
Your Responsibilities: You will support our daily operations, primarily in implementing and managing online marketing activities for our clients, as well as other team tasks. These duties are varied, involving creative, recurring, and direct communication aspects. You may also take on individual tasks independently.
Digital Channels & Content Management
- Publish and maintain content on websites, newsletters, apps, and platform profiles (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Google, YouTube) using CMS or publishing tools.
- Input texts, perform template-based layout adjustments, and select/integrate suitable visuals.
- Monitor content deployment, make minor corrections, and gather feedback through simple monitoring.
- Actively participate in planning campaigns and promotions with the team and client representatives.
Online Advertising (Setup & Quality Check)
- Set up ads and campaigns according to clear guidelines (e.g., Meta/Facebook, Google Display) without budget or strategy responsibility.
- Review ads and make minor adjustments.
Content Creation (Template-Based)
- Create and revise texts and graphics for various channels (e.g., social posts, website, newsletter).
- Adapt graphics based on templates and provided elements (customer-provided or self-created); graphic design or web design background not required.
- Utilize AI tools for support, but ensure original formulation and review.
Operational Support & Data Preparation
- Download, sort, and prepare reports/lists; organize uploads and materials.
- Perform recurring, structured tasks (e.g., categorizing offers, managing to-do lists, internal orders).
- Conduct small research tasks as directed (e.g., competitor analysis, idea generation, tool research).
- Assist in testing our tools/software/apps from a user perspective (testing, feedback, bug reporting).
- Provide general support and administrative tasks for projects and ongoing activities.
- Support our own online marketing efforts.
Customer Communication & Organization
- Participate in regular video calls and potentially brief weekly syncs with client teams.
- Coordinate promotions and appointments, follow up on feedback, and consolidate information.
- Process incoming inquiries and orders (primarily via email) and be available by phone (virtual extension on laptop). Proactively clarify queries and coordinate with clients or service providers (not a hotline role).
Onboarding: You will receive thorough training, both in-person and remotely, and be guided through initial steps. Subsequently, you will work independently while maintaining close communication with the team.
Your Profile: (Note: Not all criteria must be met 100%)
Language & Communication Skills
- Excellent German in written and spoken form.
- Clear, friendly, and understandable communication style with a focus on correct spelling.
- Service-oriented approach in customer interactions.
Online Affinity & Eagerness to Learn
- Comfortable navigating the online world; familiarity with terms like Facebook, Instagram, Google Business Profile, newsletters, online ads, and client apps.
- Previous experience with personal postings, business accounts, or online ads is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Experience with a CMS (e.g., WordPress) is helpful but not essential; willingness to learn is key.
- Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and tools.
Office & Collaboration Tools
- Proficient with standard office software (Word, Excel, Email).
- Familiarity with collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams) or quick to learn.
Creative Eye (No Graphic Degree Required)
- Good sense for the impact of text and visuals; ability to implement simple, template-based designs (e.g., promotion teasers, selecting appropriate visuals).
- Ability to work with templates and pre-made components; learn simple layout adjustments.
- Knowledge of graphic software (e.g., Corel Draw, Adobe) is a plus, but not required.
Work Style & Organization
- Structured, reliable, and meticulous work approach; ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Proactive problem-solving and independent prioritization skills.
- Basic understanding of numbers/metrics and ability to comprehend simple reports.
Trustworthiness & Team Fit
- Handle confidential information with care.
- Enjoy close collaboration within a small team but also capable of independent work.
- Open to career changers who possess a blend of content/design sense, digital affinity, organizational skills, and a willingness to learn.
Working Hours & Flexibility:
- Scope: Approx. 20 hours/week (approx. 4 hours/day)
- Core Hours: Mon-Fri approx. 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM (Availability: Email, Messenger, Phone)
- Flexible Hour: Typically one additional hour daily, flexibly scheduled in coordination with the team (e.g., before/after core hours or later in the day).
- Peak Times: Occasionally, 1-2 hours beyond the usual daily scope may be required (max. 6 hours/day), usually with advance notice.
- Time Off in Lieu: Usually compensated with time off (shorter or full days), primarily through the flexible hour. Payment is an exception if time off cannot be practically arranged.
Compensation & Vacation:
- Salary: Approx. €1,560 gross/month (for 20 hours/week)
- Vacation: Minimum 25 days per year
Additional Benefits:
- €50 monthly tax-free benefit via a modern benefit app (e.g., for shopping, gym memberships).
- Up to €600 per year support for certified preventive health courses (e.g., back health, fitness, stress prevention).
Equipment:
- Necessary home office technology provided: Laptop + Remote Workstation Set (monitor, keyboard, mouse) and headset.
- Company tablet (for social media/app tasks).
- Telephony via virtual extension on the laptop.
Work Environment:
- Direct access to decision-makers.
- Flat hierarchies and short communication channels.
- Trusting and collaborative atmosphere – your ideas are welcome.
Work Location:
- Currently 100% Homeoffice with occasional appointments in Lüneburg (e.g., onboarding/coordination).
- Future possibility of office space in the Lüneburg area; willingness for occasional in-person presence would be ideal.
Long-Term Perspective:
