Requirements

Must have:

  • Strong experience in Mainframe support and/or AS/400 (IBM i) environments
  • Hands-on experience with IBM i, RPG, CL, COBOL, JCL
  • Experience with batch job monitoring and schedulers
  • Good understanding of production support processes (ITIL preferred)
  • Experience supporting business-critical systems in large enterprises
  • Exposure to automotive systems or dealer-related applications is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production support environment
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to work in shifts or on-call support, if required
  • German (C1) proficiency
  • English proficiency required

Responsibilities:

  • Provide L2/L3 production support for Mainframe and AS/400 (IBM i) systems
  • Monitor system performance, batch jobs, and interfaces to ensure high availability
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, service requests, and production issues
  • Support COBOL, RPG, CL programs, and batch scheduling activities
  • Work closely with application, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures
  • Support system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities
  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and incident reports
  • Ensure compliance with security, audit, and automotive industry standards
