About the Company

We are hiring for a leading German IT service provider specializing in Managed Hosting, Cloud, Network Services, and IT Outsourcing. The company operates its own high-availability data centers in Germany and supports demanding clients who entrust their IT infrastructure to experienced experts. Responsibilities

  • Advise and support clients in operating complex, Linux-based server environments
  • Take primary responsibility for managing and further developing complex hosting platforms
  • Understand client requirements and develop suitable technical concepts
  • Continuously improve quality and performance while implementing sustainable technical solutions
  • Analyze and resolve issues independently or coordinate their handling within the team
  • Share knowledge and collaborate with experienced IT professionals
  • Document installations and configurations thoroughly and promote transparent teamwork

Qualifications

  • Completed technical or scientific degree or IT-related vocational training
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in Linux system administration
  • Confident handling of the command line and Linux distributions such as CentOS, RHEL, and Debian
  • Strong knowledge of MySQL databases, including replication and cluster configuration
  • Solid understanding of common open-source software such as Apache/Nginx, Varnish, Tomcat/Wildfly, Postfix, and Dovecot
  • Experience with automation tools like Puppet or Ansible
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g. KVM, RHEV/oVirt) and container environments
  • Basic understanding of programming languages (PHP, Python, Java) and shell scripting
  • Excellent German language skills (minimum C1), both written and spoken
  • Class B driver's license
