DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)
Location
- Hybrid working model
- 1 day per week in the office (Tuesdays mandatory)
The Role
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to take ownership of a growing and evolving infrastructure landscape. This role requires someone with a broad, architectural mindset who can oversee multiple teams rather than focusing on a single development stream.
You will play a key role in improving existing systems, identifying issues, and driving best practices across the DevOps function. There is strong potential for this role to develop into a leadership position.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, manage, and optimise CI/CD pipelines across development teams
- Deploy and manage containerised applications
- Work with Kubernetes, ensuring effective orchestration and integration with system modules
- Monitor systems, detect issues proactively, and implement improvements
- Support and manage cloud infrastructure (primarily Azure, with potential exposure to Hetzner Cloud)
- Collaborate across multiple teams, maintaining a holistic view of the platform and delivery processes
- Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term DevOps strategy
Requirements
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure
- Proven experience managing CI/CD pipelines
- Solid hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerisation
- Good understanding of monitoring, alerting, and system reliability
- Experience working across multiple teams or products (not limited to a narrow scope)
- Ability to understand how systems, modules, and infrastructure components interact
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to detect and resolve issues proactively
- German language skills required (at least professional working proficiency)
Nice to Have
- Experience with Hetzner Cloud
- Experience in DevOps architecture or platform design
- Previous mentoring or coaching experience
