About the Role

Our client is a forward-thinking IT services provider that believes cloud solutions should go beyond stability, they should actively drive business progress. They see IT not as reactive support, but as a process of continuous improvement.

We are looking for a Junior Cloud Operations Engineer who is eager to go beyond traditional support tasks and grow in a modern, automation-driven cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor user and group permissions in Microsoft 365
  • Execute regular clean-up and archiving tasks (e.g., inactive users, orphaned groups, outdated sites)
  • Track the health of Microsoft 365 services, interpret service status messages, and respond accordingly
  • Identify and resolve potential issues or vulnerabilities before they escalate
  • Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
  • Create visual representations of technical processes using Azure Workbooks or Power BI
  • Implement automation, alerts, and runbooks to enhance operational efficiency
  • Monitor and manage Azure resources such as VMs, databases, networks, and App Services
  • Use Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., ARM Templates, Bicep, Terraform) to deploy scalable infrastructure
  • Assist in implementing governance, policy enforcement, and cost control strategies in Azure
  • Contribute to high-quality documentation, including SOPs, technical references, and knowledge articles

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Initial experience with Microsoft 365 and/or Azure (e.g., from a junior role or internship)
  • Strong technical understanding and analytical mindset
  • Interest in automation, cloud governance, and infrastructure management
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative team player
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Highly organized, with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
  • Fluent German (C2 level required) and good English (B2+)

What's Offered

  • Annual salary of €55,000
  • 100% remote position (must be based in Germany)
  • Opportunity to work in a modern, cloud-first environment
  • Structured onboarding and support for continuous learning and career growth
  • Collaborative and improvement-driven work culture
