Senior Product Manager (f/m/d) Finance/Accounting
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager (f/m/d) for Finance/Accounting to join our innovative product company. You will manage our Accounting and Payments product, working with a dedicated tech squad to handle finance-related tasks, collaborate with stakeholders, and integrate international payment solutions. Join our international team transforming the debt collection industry.
What you will do:
- Work within a cross-functional team (3-4 developers, 1 QA engineer).
- Develop product ideas, features, and improvements with internal stakeholders, primarily from the Finance department.
- Coordinate resources and manage project timelines for well-understood requirements, expected development, and high-quality delivery.
- Oversee feature specification, implementation, testing, and release processes.
- Design and implement technologies and processes for product accounting and core finance processes.
- Automate revenue, costs, and ledger processes.
- Establish, monitor, and analyze metrics for core and finance services, using data to drive improvements and report on strategy effectiveness.
- Write documentation and collaborate with peer product managers, tech, and QA teams for knowledge sharing.
What you should bring:
- Significant experience in Product Management, preferably in a fast-paced tech environment, with a good understanding of Finance/Accounting.
- Ability to understand and clarify business requirements, converting them into clear specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Experience in managing expectations of business owners.
- Solid understanding of software development processes and agile methodologies (Scrum, FDD, Kanban).
- Proficiency in requirement gathering techniques (use cases, user stories, features, scenarios).
- Strong technical understanding:
- Experience with databases, SQL, and ER models.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of at least one programming language, with the ability to read code and communicate with developers technically.
- Experience with APIs, JSON, and XML data formats.
- Experience working with or configuring complex middleware.
- Experience with Linux servers and/or console.
- Experience in UI/UX.
- Experience with building technology-driven processes for cash management and transaction processing (consumer payments, invoicing, payouts, reconciliation) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
