Your Role
In this position, you will drive the further development of our PHP/Laravel service landscape. Are you not a fan of micromanagement, do you love clean code, and do you want to take on real responsibility? Then you will feel right at home with us.
Work Location: 100% remote or on-site in our Münster office.
Responsibilities
- Architecture & further development of a scalable service architecture (PHP/Laravel), including service tailoring, interface design, and stability
- Conception and implementation of APIs, as well as integration of external APIs and third-party systems
- Data & Performance: Database design, query optimization, and performance tuning in MySQL and Elasticsearch
- Quality Assurance: Unit and integration tests, code reviews, documentation, clean debugging, sustainable refactorings, and best practices
- Cross-functional collaboration with PM, CSM, Data, and Ops, including presentation of results and technical roadmaps

- AI Tools: Claude Code, Gemini Pro

Qualifications
- Several years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend.
- Excellent practical experience with PHP/Laravel and distributed architectures (microservices, APIs, data flows).
- Experience with MySQL, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Redis.
- Proficient in engineering craft: Testing, reviews, refactoring, performance, security, observability.
- Strong understanding of pragmatic excellence: Balancing quality, speed, and cost-effectiveness.
- Desirable: Experience with AI tools like Claude Code, agentic workflows, LLM integrations.
