For the further development of our financial software for public administration, we are looking for a Product Manager (m/f/d) who will take on the technical responsibility for the financial software and work closely with strategic management.

Our solution includes, among others:

  • Treasury and accounting
  • Fixed asset accounting
  • Cost and performance accounting
  • Invoicing

Your Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Management

  • Technical responsibility for the further development of our financial software
  • Development and maintenance of a product roadmap in line with corporate strategy
  • Prioritization of requirements considering legal regulations, customer benefits, and feasibility
  • Coordination of releases and product goals with development, support, sales, and strategic management
  • Ensuring consistent processes and technically correct mapping of municipal financial logic

Requirements Management & Technical Conception

  • Analysis and structuring of requirements from customers, the market, and internal stakeholders
  • Translation of technical content into actionable requirements
  • Creation of technical concepts and process descriptions
  • Technical support for tests, acceptances, and releases

Your Profile:

  • A completed degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or vocational training with an IT focus, e.g., IT specialist for application development.

  • Experience in product management in the software environment

  • Interest in financial processes, ideally in the public administration sector

  • Experience in collaborating with software development (Scrum/Kanban)

  • Ability to structure complex technical topics and drive decisions

  • Strong communication skills, initiative, and very good German language skills

  • Very good German language skills at least C1 level complete your profile.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of municipal accounting (double-entry/cash accounting)
  • Very good understanding of financial processes in public administration (HKR)
  • Experience with annual financial statements, budget law, and booking logic
  • Interest in process optimization and UX
