Team Lead Operational Excellence (Commercial) (m/w/d)
About the Role
As a Team Lead Operational Excellence, you will be the architect of Peter Park's commercial infrastructure. Your mission is to build a scalable, data-driven operating system where Sales, Customer Success, and Operations can collaborate efficiently.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end process landscape – from contract signing to operational implementation – ensuring that commercial goals and technical feasibility are always aligned. You will lead the Business Operations team and report directly to the Head of Customer Success & Business Operations.
Responsibilities
- Leadership & Responsibility: Lead and develop the Business Operations team (Systems, Solution Engineering, Enablement), ensuring clear responsibilities, high performance, and continuous growth.
- Process Architecture & Velocity: Optimize the Lead-to-Cash process landscape with the clear goal of continuously reducing "Time-to-Value" (from signing to operational readiness). Ensure seamless handoffs between Sales, Solution Engineering, Operations, and Customer Success.
- System & Data Ownership: Own HubSpot and manage the integration of the entire Commercial Tech Stack to ensure data consistency and transparency.
- Deal Desk & Quality Assurance: Ensure that deals are technically and operationally valid before contract signing.
- Data & Reporting: Create a reliable data foundation for forecasts and management decisions.
- Enablement: Establish scalable infrastructures for onboarding and training, enabling Sales and Customer Success to optimally utilize our tools and playbooks.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify inefficient workflows and manual workarounds, replacing them with automation and standardization.
- Collaboration & Alignment: Act as a neutral interface between departments, resolve bottlenecks, and balance sales velocity with operational excellence.
Requirements
- Expertise & Experience: Bring several years of experience (5 years) in Revenue Operations, Business Operations, or Sales Operations – ideally in a SaaS, IoT, or B2B hardware environment – and possess demonstrable leadership experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Have excellent knowledge of CRM architectures (HubSpot at an admin level), automation tools (e.g., Make.com, n8n, etc.), BI, and reporting tools, along with a deep understanding of Deal Desk, CPQ, and CLM processes.
- Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Recognize interconnections within the big picture and translate business goals into clear, scalable processes and systems.
- Ownership & Accountability: Take responsibility for the stability, efficiency, and development of Business Operations.
- Diplomacy & Assertiveness: Make clear decisions under pressure and constructively question processes.
- Internal Customer Focus: Understand Sales, Customer Success, and Operations as your internal customers and act proactively in their best interest.
- Leadership & Role Model: Lead your team as a mentor, sparring partner, and role model.
- Structured Work Approach: Maintain an overview even with complex projects and multiple stakeholders.
- Language Skills: Speak German very well and have good English skills, both written and spoken.
