Salary: €94,000 - €120,000 gross per year

Our client, a global technology company, is looking for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join its European HR team. This is a senior individual contributor role supporting engineering and technical teams across Germany and Eastern Europe.

Reporting to the Lead HR Business Partner, you will work closely with senior leaders to develop and execute people strategies that support business objectives. This is a broad HR Business Partner position combining strategic partnership with hands-on operational HR responsibilities in a fast-paced, international environment.

As a trusted advisor to the business, you will:

  • Partner with senior leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, and people strategy.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary processes, and employment legislation.
  • Coach managers on leadership, employee development, and performance improvement.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and help build high-performing teams.
  • Identify succession opportunities and create development plans for key talent.
  • Drive employee engagement and foster a culture of continuous feedback and development.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to attract and hire high-quality professionals.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with German employment legislation while partnering with teams across multiple European countries.
  • Work closely with the wider European HR team to deliver consistent people practices and support business growth.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 7 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Generalist.
  • Previous experience supporting engineering, software, hardware, manufacturing, or other technical organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of German employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience handling complex employee relations matters independently.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, coaching, and influencing skills.
  • The ability to work confidently with senior leaders and navigate complex business situations.
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience balancing strategic HR initiatives with operational responsibilities.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline (Master's degree is an advantage).
  • Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Workday or another HRIS is considered an advantage.
