Your Mission
About the Role
You will be the technical backbone of our engineering organization, combining classic enterprise IT expertise with hands‑on support for our automotive software development toolchain. Your work ensures that our teams can develop, integrate, test, and release automotive software efficiently and securely. This role sits at the intersection of IT operations, DevOps, and automotive engineering --- perfect for someone who enjoys variety and ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Core IT Operations
- Manage and support Windows clients and Linux servers, user accounts, and standard office applications
- Maintain network services (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewall rules, VLANs) in collaboration with central IT
- Oversee hardware lifecycle: laptops, workstations, servers, peripherals
- Ensure IT security compliance, patch management, and endpoint protection
- Provide 2nd‑level support for employees and engineering teams
- Administer collaboration tools (Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, Intune)
Automotive DevOps & Toolchain Support
- Operate and maintain automotive development tools such as:
- Source Code Management as Bitbucket, GitHub, Jenkins, Gitlab or other CI/CD systems
- Artifactory, Nexus, or comparable artifact repositories
- Polarion, Monaco, Enterprise Architect or similar requirements/ALM systems
- Vector tools (CANoe, vTESTstudio) or OEM‑specific toolchains
- Support build environments for C/C++, embedded Linux, AUTOSAR, or model‑based development
- Troubleshoot CI pipelines, build failures, and integration issues
- Manage user access, permissions, and project configurations
- Automate recurring tasks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Collaborate with software engineers to improve tool performance and reliability
Infrastructure & System Administration
- Maintain on‑prem and cloud‑based servers (VMware, GCP, AWS)
- Monitor system performance, storage, switches, and servers via Zabbix
- Monitor external services via UptimeKuma
- Support containerized environments (Docker, Docker Swarm and Harbor Registry) where applicable
- Ensure high availability of development systems and internal services
- Document system configurations, processes, and best practices
Your Profile
Qualifications
Required
- Completed training or degree in IT, computer science, or comparable field
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux system administration
- Experience with Git‑based version control and CI/CD systems
- Familiarity with automotive development processes (ASPICE, ISO 26262)
- Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Strong problem‑solving mindset and service‑oriented communication style
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
Preferred
- Experience with ALM tools (Polarion, Vector, Monaco)
- Knowledge of embedded software development workflows
- Understanding of network architectures and IT security concepts
- Experience supporting engineering teams in automotive or industrial environments
