The Opportunity

In this role, you will take overall technical responsibility for battery storage and PV/hybrid projects across the full lifecycle -- from early-stage concept and system design through construction and commissioning.

You will work closely with the Technical Director and collaborate across development, financing, and operations in a highly collaborative, 10-person team. This is an opportunity to step into a position with genuine influence and responsibility in a company that values initiative and new ideas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical lead for BESS and PV/hybrid projects
  • Management of projects from concept, engineering and permitting through to construction and commissioning
  • Development and optimisation of system designs (layout, sizing, system architecture, grid integration)
  • Technical evaluation of sites and feasibility assessments
  • Coordination of external planners, EPC partners, consultants and grid operators
  • Support in permitting procedures and grid connection processes
  • CAPEX/OPEX estimation and technical risk assessment
  • Technical input into tenders, supplier selection and contract negotiations
  • Construction oversight including quality control, timelines and performance testing
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of the company's BESS strategy

Your Profile

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar
  • 3--5 years of professional experience in renewable energy project planning and implementation
  • Strong hands-on experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
  • Ideally additional exposure to ground-mounted PV or hybrid systems
  • Good knowledge of German regulatory frameworks (e.g. grid connection guidelines, permitting procedures, EEG)
  • Experience working with grid operators, authorities and external technical stakeholders
  • Structured, self-driven and comfortable working in a lean, high-responsibility environment
  • German language skills at C1 level (essential)
