Your Responsibilities

• Foster the group-wide corporate success by utilizing AI and existing resources to achieve productivity gains and competitive advantages.
• Develop and manage the group-wide AI strategy and build an AI roadmap for all companies (including prioritizing use cases).
• Identify potentials and centrally manage all AI initiatives – from pilot projects to rollout.
• Monitor and evaluate technology trends and regulatory developments, deriving concrete measures.
• Collaborate closely with business units, IT, data teams, and external partners to implement AI solutions economically, legally, and practically.
• Manage change related to AI: promote acceptance, actively exchange with teams, and constructively handle questions and concerns.
• Define AI governance, compliance, and security standards (AI Act, data protection, IT security) and ensure their implementation.
• Report directly to the Board.

Your Profile

• Completed studies in computer science, data science, business informatics, engineering, or a comparable field.
• Extensive experience in leading, scaling, or strategically managing AI, digitalization, or data-driven transformation projects – ideally in complex or international corporate structures.
• Very good understanding of modern AI, data, and system architectures, enabling you to technically lead and manage interdisciplinary project teams, business units, and external partners – without having to program daily yourself.
• Confident handling of regulatory requirements (EU AI Act, data protection, IT security) and ideally experience from regulated or safety-critical industries.
• Strong skills in stakeholder management and coordination of complex project landscapes, as well as in communicating with decision-makers at management and board levels.
• Strong communication skills: You can convey complex technical and strategic content understandably, persuasively, and appropriately for the audience – including at the C-level.
• Very good German and English skills to work confidently with national and international teams and stakeholders.
• Strategic foresight, a drive for innovation, and a leadership mindset that functions without disciplinary leadership, relying on influence, expertise, and project-based steering.
