About the Role

This top employer, based in Cologne for over 20 years, is a well-known e-commerce company seeking an additional team member to help manage up to 400 internal workstations.

Responsibilities

• Support the internal IT infrastructure within a 7-person team.
• Provision and maintenance of Windows servers and Identity and Access Management using Active Directory or Entra ID.
• Operation and optimization of the email infrastructure based on Exchange Online, including email security.
• Contribute to the design of the existing and future network architecture (firewall, switch, and Wi-Fi), as well as monitoring network performance and availability.
• Independently analyze and provide solution-oriented resolution for potential 2nd and 3rd level problems.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed IT-related training (or equivalent qualification), ideally with several years of professional experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of current Windows infrastructures and modern mail and network technologies, including AD or Entra ID, Exchange Online, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, Routing, Switching, NGFW, and VPN solutions.
• Experience in scripting and automation with PowerShell or another language.
• Excellent communication skills, an analytical and pragmatic approach, and a willingness to work in a collaborative environment.
• Very good English and good German skills (B2) are required.
