We're hiring on behalf of a mid-sized tech powerhouse headquartered in Frankfurt. They're not looking for another cog in the machine, they're searching for a Linux System Engineer who lives for the command line, thrives on automation, and refuses to settle for outdated structures.

What You'll Own
- Operate and maintain high-availability Linux server environments
- Configure and administer MySQL clusters and replication setups
- Deploy and fine-tune open-source stacks (Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, Varnish, etc.)
- Build automation into everything with Puppet and Ansible
- Work hands-on with KVM and other virtualisation platforms
- Drive infrastructure discussions and performance tuning
- Script, automate, evolve, Shell, PHP, Python, Java are all welcome
- Collaborate across teams: Hosting, Networking, Data Centre Ops
What You Bring
- Command-line mastery across CentOS, Debian, RHEL
- Deep Linux system administration skills
- Advanced MySQL config, clustering and replication experience
- Familiarity with mail and web services (Postfix, Dovecot, Varnish, Apache)
- Hands-on automation mindset: Puppet, Ansible, repeat
- DNS, systems infra, performance, second nature
Bonus Points If You Have
- Virtualisation chops (KVM, oVirt, RHEV)
- Container fluency (Docker, modern hosting architectures)
- Basic programming knowledge (Shell, PHP, Python, Java)
- A relevant technical or scientific degree
