Senior Penetration Tester - IoT and Medical Devices (m/f/d)

We're looking for a Senior Penetration Tester with expertise in hardware, IoT, medical, and industrial devices to conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, lead and guide Junior Penetration Tester and conduct innovative security research.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead penetration testing engagements focused on IoT-enabled medical devices (e.g., pacemakers, insulin pumps, infusion systems, wearables, and connected monitors) and standalone medical software applications.
• Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments, including hardware/firmware analysis, network protocol testing, wireless communication exploits, and side-channel attacks
• Perform black-box, white-box, and gray-box testing on embedded systems, utilizing tools like JTAG, UART, IDA Pro, Ghidra, and custom scripts for firmware extraction and manipulation
• Evaluate standalone medical software for security flaws, such as injection vulnerabilities, authentication bypasses, and data integrity issues
• Stay ahead of emerging threats in the medical IoT space, including research on new attack vectors and zero-day exploits
• Report findings from penetration tests and assessments, including preparing comprehensive documentation and presenting results to customers in clear, actionable formats
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal knowledge sharing, such as developing testing methodologies or presenting at industry conferences
• Support client engagements for scoping of offers
