Senior C++ Engineer - ASAP - 6 months+ - Remote

We are looking for a Senior C++ Engineer to support the development and modernization of complex desktop applications. The role focuses on building high-performance C++ solutions, optimizing existing applications, and gradually modernizing a large legacy software landscape.

Tasks

• Develop and maintain high-performance C++ components for desktop applications.
• Analyze and optimize application performance, stability, and scalability.
• Design and implement multithreading and concurrency solutions.
• Support the modernization of legacy components (MFC, ATL, Win32, Delphi) to modern C++ and .NET technologies.
• Collaborate closely with Architecture, QA, and Product Management teams while leveraging AI coding tools to accelerate refactoring and code analysis.

Skills

• Extensive experience with modern C++ (C++14/17/20), including multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Strong expertise in Qt, CMake, Conan, MSVC, and the integration of CEF.
• Proven experience modernizing and maintaining complex legacy desktop applications.
• Strong analytical mindset with a structured approach and high quality standards.
• Experience with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) and regulated environments is considered an advantage.
• Fluent English
